The Children's House Provides Developmentally Appropriate Multicultural Curriculum

Because of the wide range of activities that the children will participate in while at the center, we recommend that they be dressed in comfortable, washable clothing.

Water activities, sand play and occasional bathroom accidents, necessitate an extra set of clothing be kept at The Children's House. All items sent must be clearly labeled with your child's name and sent in clear plastic shoebox. If wet or soiled clothes are sent home, please return the next school day with a labeled replacement set. Shoes should be comfortable and fit securely.

Parents are also advised not to allow children to wear jewelry of value to school. The Children's House WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.

Please keep in mind that children are taken outside daily except for inclement weather and should be dressed accordingly. Coats, hats, boots and mittens should be worn in cold weather.

Children rest daily on the labeled cots provided by The Children's House. To assist in that rest period, parents must provide a labeled crib sized blanket for their children. These blankets should be taken home on Friday for washing and return with your child on Monday.

The Children's House understands that at the beginning of your child's enrollment a familiar stuffed animal or toy may help during the adjustment period. Gradually the child will feel secure without the toy and at that time we ask that such items be left at home unless it is designated "show and tell" day.
