Field Trips, walks to nearby parks and nature walks, are considered an important part of the educational program and will be taken periodically. Your child's classroom teachers will provide supervision for these excursions. We welcome parent volunteers on all of our trips. A consent for these walking trips is included for you to sign as a part of your enrollment package.
In addition to our walking field trips, we engage our children in monthly field trips. These trips are most often taken using one of the major yellow bus companies. Permission slips and the cost for these trips must be in by the date designated by your Site Director. Many of these trips are pre-paid because of group sizes therefore paying by the date due is of great importance. Also, because of pre-payment, it is most often impossible to get refunds from the various companies so your child should plan to be in attendance unless he/she is ill. Parents once again are encouraged to attend as many of our field trips as possible. On field trip days, it is our sincere hope that all children attend. Since our entire staff will be supervising their classrooms, parents must make other provisions for childcare on that day if your child can not accompany us.
